01-Jul-09: IQMI Introduces Online Dashboard Service. IQMI now offers clients the ability to track their quota holdings on the web, any time, from anywhere.
Because the service is provided over the web, it is as accessible and usable for the independent fisher as it is for larger integrated fishing operations and processors. Virtually anyone who uses IVQ as part of their commercial fishing business can use the IQMI Dashboard to compete more effectively.
The Dashboard is a fully-secure online service that loads Licence Status Report data and presents it to the customer in a dynamic, easy-to-read format.
The dashboard works with any browser, such as Internet Explorer. Clients have no software to buy or download, and virtually no training is required.
With permissions in place, a dashboard can normally be set up, and logon credentials provided to the customer, in just a few hours from receipt of the first LSR. Then, whenever a customer has landed catch or been trading quota, IQMI can refresh their dashboard on demand.
Quota owners control the information. A quota owner can choose to make information available to any third party – a partner, skipper, processor, buyer, customer – in which case, the third party sees only what the quota owner has allowed.
The dashboard also provides features that link quota with fishing operations, including:
- Trip planning,
- Online trip logs,
- Instant quota status updates using DMP Logs,
- Access to full archives of all quota updates, logs and documents throughout the fishing year.
IQMI sees the Dashboard as a leap forward in quota tracking and management that will continue to evolve and keep its clients ahead of the game.

15-Feb-06: Real-time Listings Available Online. IQMI now provides up-to-date quota listings on its web site.
The new service generates real-time summaries of quota available for trade, transfer and lease, in both HTML and PDF formats, whenever a customer clicks on the IQMI listings page. This service complements the Weekly Listings Service, formerly available by fax or e-mail from IQMI's predecessor, A to Z Quota Registry. IQMI will continue to provide the Weekly Listings Service for customers who request it. Both services are available at no charge.
In the coming months, IQMI plans to further enhance its online quota listings by making them user-searchable.
